Marisa's Play-time

Here i am trying to get a nap in after work. Unfortunately anytime I lay down on the couch and close my eyes Marisa thinks its a great opportunity to play with dad! "No sleeping on my watch dad!"

Cheesesteaks, Rocky, & the Liberty Bell = Philly Road Trip!

I'm sure alot of important stuff has happened in Philadelphia throughout our history, but today we weren't going for a history lesson, we had 3 things on our to do list: eat an authentic Philly Cheesesteak, see the Rocky statue, and visit the Liberty Bell.

First stop was Genos Steaks, it was lunch time and we were hungry!

Everybody's been to Genos according to the pictures that adorned their walls and ceiling: John McCain, Sylvester Stallone, Shaq, just to name a few...

Being in Philly we decided to also try Geno's rival cheesesteak joint right across the street called Pats. Both were good in my book!

Here's one with American whiz without! Translation: One cheesesteak with American Cheese whiz without onions! Really good!

Our next move was to the Liberty Bell in downtown Philadelphia.

Where's Rocky?

He's not on top of the steps like in the movie, he's off to the side at the bottom...

...but that didn't stop me and friend from racing up the steps!

Philly was pretty nice...

Even Marisa had fun!

Crazy Good Cupcakes!

This wednesday we had some crazy good cupcakes at Georgetown Cupcakes! ...all for the low price of $2.75 ea. ...thats right, EACH!

Here's Marisa and Mommy outside the shop that only had one table and two chairs! ...a real grab and go place!

Oooh, pretty! As soon as we came up to this display Marisa tried to reach for one! She didn't notice the glass! I had a Chocolate Banana and a Chocolate Vanila. They were really good, we'll definately be going back...after payday.

Gynormous Air Hockey Table

This is from Tech and Amusing Stuff, the nicest air hockey table, and probably most expensive! But without the air holes and flying discs it wouldn't be as fun. I imagine the plasma screen gets hot too!

So we were having a nice family day at the mall tonight and Victoria noticed a crazy ad in the Armani window...
Crazy right?

What i'm reading now...

This is an awesome book. I've only read the first chapter but...wow! Its about meeting adversity (Hello Mr. Lion!) and pushing forward. If you're looking for a good book, i recommend this one! The title reminds me of the scene in 300 where he's facing that beast in his test of manhood...ooh! I can run away with that theme!
The book is based around the small and overlooked verse,
Samuel 23:20-21 - “Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it”
